The last few days my Sim addiction has come back HARD... playing hours on end! It's good to be this into it again. :) Here's a few shots from a home I've just finished decorating.

I participated in my first Sims Secret Santa exchange this year, at Sims 2 Supernova forums! One of the gifts I got was this awesome Sim named Nathan Colbert!

I got him all set up in his new bachelor pad, so here's some decor pics and some shots of the man himself!

I built this house about a month ago, but haven't posted any pictures of it yet. Currently it's not up for download for two reasons; one, that I have heard horror stories about non-flat lots completely borking people's hoods, and I wouldn't want to inadvertently destroy someone's game; and two, that I moved someone into the lot before I put it in the Lots & Houses bin. So for those reasons... pictures only!

The inspiration came to me in one of those lovely creative moments where you aren't even trying to get inspired, it just hits you. I live on the west coast of Canada (around the Vancouver area) so there's lots of forests, mountains, ocean... just lots of NATURE. And it's rarely flat. And so one night it popped into my head - cabin on a hill. A hill covered with BC-esque wildlife - lots of evergreen, lots of ferns.

It was a little ambitious considering that up to this point, I'd only ever made houses on completely flat lots. But considering it was my first crack at building hillside, I love how it turned out! Even my boyfriend, to whom outdoorsy-ness and log cabins totally appeal to (but Simming does not) thought it was really cool.

So without further ado, here is House on a Hill (I couldn't think of a less horror-film sounding title, sorry...)

Redecorated the townhouse of a Sim of mine (who shall remain unnamed for privacy reasons, as she's a Sim version of my real life cousin!). I was happy with how it turned out, so here's some pics to share. :)

I decided to take up the Decorate The Template Challenge from [ profile] alexxschmidt . Sometimes, I just want to decorate the house, not build the whole damn thing from the ground up!

So I fiddled around with the roofline a bit so I could give it a bit of that west coast/craftsman look I wanted... and then the rest was blood, sweat and tears. Well, not really... but I did need to create a version of the rock wall you see on the exterior of the house with siding pieces... which took several rounds of trial and error to get right, but I was in a perfectionist mood. And further in that vein, I gotta say I'm feeling very proud because I used no fewer than seven of my own wallpapers/paints in this house! Makes me feel accomplished!

Anyways, without further ado here is my decoration interpretation of 21 Love St.!

See some random Sim pics (but mostly decor pics!). Moved two families into the Vancouver, the Flynn's (who just expanded their family with baby Cassandra!) and Josephine Hunt, new to the neighborhood!

First, lets check out the Flynn's place...
