Round Eighteen - Crosby-Gates & Ballard

Last Round - They got a kitten from Melena's brother Oliver, who is named Delilah! Sloane had her birthday and became a teen. Max sadly got turned down for his first kiss. They all went camping at Pinecone Peaks and had a great time! At the end of the round Felix also aged up to a teen.

Who's Who in the Zoo?

Melena is the youngest child of founder Drew Crosby with his first wife Jane, before she passed away when Melena was young. She already had two older brothers, Oliver and Connor, and then her dad remarried and had her younger half-sister Louise. Her step-mom is Tessa. Melena stayed together with her teenage love Marie, and they've had two children, Sloane and Felix. They also welcomed Marie's distant cousin Max Ballard after he was orphaned, thanks to ROS.





Sloane's aspiration was dangerously low at the start of the round, and I can't figure out why based on her memories. I did think it was cute she has a memory of her cousin Paolo getting engaged though!



In the morning she wanted to jump on the couch, and since she needs the aspiration points, what Sloane wants Sloane gets.

The boys room got a makeover for their teenage selves.





Max is going to get into robotics based on his hobby and the rest of his personality, so he's got that in the room to tinker with!



I did end up having to swap the desks and Felix's ballet barre after to make things functional.

The kids went out to the roller rink today.





Roller skating is tough!



James tried to tickle Max and he was NOT into it.





I've gotta remember to ban the stupid Charlatan from this lot, I don't mind him usually but I don't think he should be on teen only lots - it's only fair!

Thankfully she made it out ok, and Marie was so relieved she jumped into her arms immediately.

After last round when Kenji heart-farted over Sloane, I was hoping to see if I could get them to meet and get together possibly, so I was excited when he got off the bus with them. But then devastated they have negative chemistry! So much for that little ship of mine.

Everyone slept through it, although Felix woke up quite belatedly, after the burglar and the police were already gone.

The whole family is crowding in, because it's a birthday night! I love that Oliver went straight to Delilah, who was one of their kittens before they gave her to Melena's family!



I just did one cake, although it's Melena and Marie's birthdays today!

It isn't a party without dancing!





Getting to interact with a lot of family members! My game was being very unstable during this party, so I didn't risk making over Melena yet.





The party ended, but no one told Marie and Connor! They kept dancing even after everyone left lol!

Marie went outside (in some broken/goofed outerwear) to take out some trash, and suddenly the mod for random elder illness, death or extra longevity kicked in. I thought she was just getting sick but...



NO!



I rushed Marie out of bed to go plead, but luckily it seemed Melena had the ability to plead for herself.



And thank goodness, she won! Foiled again, Grim!





Happily restored to life, Melena finally got some new clothes.



Back on the synth.





Taking the garbage out in the morning, Melena looked back right at the spot where she almost died last night.



Savannah and townie Rowan had (his) first kiss at their house after coming off the bus with the kids.



Ahh, young love!



Their little cousin Ronin called wanting to talk to Felix!



Max is a fortune Sim, so I've got to get him really going on those robots so he can sell them and make a little cash!



Bored by whatever he's talking about.

Sloane wants to befriend Savannah, so they had some girl time hangout in her room.









All the kids gather together in the living room, and that wraps up this eventful round!

This household was my last played on Windows - after this, I got set up with a dual boot for Linux Mint and have been playing on there since, with massively improved performance. Absolutely night and day! That birthday party was happening while it was snowing outside, and I was getting pink flashing and probably at least four crashes. Very happy to have made the switch, because I can actually enjoy my game again, without crashing and flashing, or the constant fear of both hanging over my shoulder! My view distance has been turned up to max, hood deco, neighbours, the works - and no issues so far whatsoever.

Onwards and upwards!

Omg, Melena dying (almost) was such a scare! On her birthday even! I'm glad she could save herself (and that the grim is still incompetent XD)

I was sooo sad and clicking madly on Marie to get her down there, but luckily Melena saved herself!
I'm sooo happy with the performance of my game now, it's much easier to get into the game and lose myself in it without nervously saving every 3 minutes lol.
