Round Seventeen - Crosby-Gates & Ballard

Last Round - Felix became a child, and Max became a teen. Felix was becoming friends with Sally Woods, and Max was working lots at the lemonade stand.
Who's Who in the Zoo?
Melena is the youngest child of founder Drew Crosby with his first wife Jane, before she passed away when Melena was young. She already had two older brothers, Oliver and Connor, and then her dad remarried and had her younger half-sister Louise. Her step-mom is Tessa. Melena stayed together with her teenage love Marie, and they've had two children, Sloane and Felix. They also welcomed Marie's distant cousin Max Ballard after he was orphaned, thanks to ROS.
Max greets their family's new kitten Delilah, who they got from Melena's brother Oliver!
She is teensy!
Marie heads out to the store because it's about time she had a new look!
Marie decided to spent some time sharing her views with everyone in the store. They might have called it lecturing though, if you asked them.
Marie's very serious and grouchy, with the popularity B aspiration (public enemy). Her traits include eco-friendly and vegetarian, and I kind of envision her as the type who will insist you agree with her values in all aspects and is very loud about it. Kind of a preachy type - so that's how I decided to have fun with letting her aspiration take charge for a little bit!
Nobody wanted to hear it though!
At home Melena has a trampoline workout and says hello to Cheddar.
Kids are home from school!
Changed Felix's nose mask a little, I didn't really like the one with shine on it for him. Thinking of getting rid of the nosemasks I do have with shine because I just don't think they really suit my game's aesthetic!
Melena's brother Oliver is here because there's a family birthday tonight...
It's Sloane!
She ages up with the popularity A (friend of the world) aspiration. She likes guys who are creative and hard working, and who do not have a bad reputation.
Here's our girl! She's getting experimental with the hair dye! I so rarely use unnatural hair colours, but this family's whole vibe is a little alternative meets almost hippie-ish so I think her moms would encourage her self expression a lot.
As she gets older I see a lot more Melena in her (definitely the face shape) but there is also plenty of Marie. She's a good blend!

My game was having a bit of trouble with invisible (pink) flashing, and Delilah looked like a scary creature!
This morning Melena and Marie went to their business Root to Plate Market, and Marie got hit with the Slenderman glitch when they arrived.
Marie got all fixed up and then it was time to open the business. Melena's nephew Luca was one of the first customers!
Yuki Amiri was getting in his way!

Why it's only Sloane, also affected by the Slenderman glitch!
Max had brought this townie home after school, and before I know it he was going in for his first kiss - but he got rejected! :( Poor Max....
I also noticed there was water dripping from the ceiling next to them? And sure enough check upstairs and the tub faucet is broken!
So they put down a pot until their moms are home. LOL!
Lola Georgison came home with Felix, and got straight into dancing.
Melena's home and looking after that tub.
Telling a really dramatic alien story to yet another townie teen that followed them off the school bus today.
Felix politely says goodbye to Lola because she's been dancing for ages and she stinks.
Imagination time!
Sloane's room got a makeover.
As soon as Melena and Marie thought they had a spare moment for themselves, literally all the kids barged in to their room at the worst moment. Sloane at least tried to shut her eyes.
Max and Felix were totally oblivious.
The next morning, Sloane sees her moms engaging in (much more tame and fully clothed) PDA and she's totally mortified. Probably thinking mostly about what she walked in on yesterday, and not liking to be reminded!
But there's no time to dwell on it... they're all on their way out the door, because they're going on a camping trip!
They arrive at their campground in Pinecone Peaks and Marie checks the map to find their campsite.
Townies are getting back to the rhythms of nature.
Camping means hot dogs! "Veggie dogs" for Max and Marie though since both of them are vegetarians. Which reminds me to actually look for some veggie dogs for my Sims - I usually have vegetarians grill stuffed peppers which is a CC food I have in game that can be cooked in the BBQ.
Melena tries some bongos too.
Felix needs a bit of a nap!
In the evening the campsite breaks out into a smustle mob.

Max and this townie are getting flirty now - perhaps he's hoping for a better second chance at a first kiss.
They left the campsite for a while to go check out a community lot. They've mostly hung around the campsite for this trip because there's always a lot going on and they're having a good time!

Sloane tries a bit of fishing, with success!
More marshmallow roasting around the fire.
Still a bit flirty with her, but sadly this was their last interaction and they never got as far as a kiss. I kind of liked their opposites attract vibe!
One last look at the kind of messy campsite before they have to head back to the real world!
Back home, Felix sets up shop at the lemonade stand first thing.
Now it's Felix's turn for a birthday too! His aspiration is Family A (strict parent). He likes girls with makeup, creativity and doesn't prefer brunettes.
Here's Felix, hair grown out a bit!
Delilah makes her last appearance of the round, still not quite a full grown cat - that's it for this time!
