Round Eighteen - M. Park

Last Round - Simon got glasses thanks to the ROS. Hannah gave birth to her and Jamie's son, Nathan! The grandparents (and uncle Miles) are all delighted with him too. Miles also aged up to an adult this round, and then Nathan became a cute toddler. Aunt Winnie passed along the Park's Market ownership to Miles! He moved out of the house at the end of the round to his own place.
Who's Who in the Zoo?
Miles is the younger child of Simon and Alyssa, and his sister Hannah married Jamie Perry and they have two sons who are Miles' nephews. His grandparents were founders Ryan and Kira Park!

Miles grabs some breakfast before heading off to work at Park's Market!
The store is now his and he's got a generational legacy to look after!
The customers pack in as always. Everyone needs groceries!
His register skills need some work!

Miles hired Navid to help around the store!
Poor Finn had a mental breakdown in the store today :(
That evening when he gets home, Anya calls him to join an outing downtown!
He accepts the invitation, and the group is mostly Anya's family, Jack, the guy she's seeing, and his sister Hannah!
Anya and Jack stopped in the photobooth first...
Then everyone grabbed the booths for some food!
Finn was here, having another crisis!
So Miles and Anya dated a bit when they were teens, I'm pretty sure they were each other's first kiss - and then this evening, they started to flirt autonomously! Jack really did not seem bothered by it at all.
It rekindled their feelings for one another!
However, Miles was immediately brought crashing down from such a high by seeing Anya and Jack getting cozy.
He was going to try to slap Anya, but I knew that was just an unworthy impulse on Miles' part and not the kind of thing he'd actually do, especially in front of her family. So I had him end the outing, but I was not able to stop him in time from slapping Jack :|
Anya was totally oblivious to all the drama she just caused lol.
I think it's really for the best because I did not see them together long term, the vibes are just off for me? Maybe this will seal the deal and once his hurt feelings are past, they can be friends.
The phone shakes him from sleep in the middle of the night.
Ominous prank call...
No Miles, let it go!
After breakfast, he hit the gym! His hobby is fitness so this would definitely be a place he enjoys.
He did the whole circuit!
After that, it's off to work again.
Hannah was there today!
Woohoo! Since the business was given over to him by his aunt, it was already well progressed.
I wanted him to get to know this townie Alexis who he has bolts with (and he had a want to be friends with her too) so he called her up.
They chatted for a while and just like that, friends! Maybe this will get his mind off Anya.
Now time to relax with a movie.
Another early morning gym session!
His workout is interrupted by a call from his nephew Nathan!
Once he gets home after the gym, his mom stopped by to check on him.
She joined him for lunch. :)
Miles went back out in the afternoon, to take a look at that dog in the window...
Meet Molly! Miles has the dog person trait, so he really needed a four legged friend to keep him company!
Miles grabs a few extra essentials while Molly makes a mess outside the pet shop.
She's very excited to check out her new home!

The penguin was outside, and the moment Miles stepped outside his door to leave, he got sick!
Bird flu carrier???
So, back inside and in his pajamas!
A long day of coughing ahead for him :(
And napping.
I decided that it will be 24 hours before my Sims can attempt to do anything besides rest to cure illnesses, and I also downloaded a mod that makes comfort soup less of an instant cure and more gradual. Combined with the real sickness mod which makes recovery in general harder (and therefore death from illness more possible) it makes it feel a bit more consequential when they get sick.
So for today, Miles will be feeling pretty rough.
Molly looked concerned.
He did get a call from Alexis which cheered him up some!
And another call from Nathan!
The next day, he fixed himself some comfort soup. I hadn't yet downloaded the mod that lessens the soup's effects yet when I played his round, so he got the instant cure!
He headed out to the local pool and first thing we got to see was Alma and Ronald getting busy in the hot tub lol.
He had invited Alexis to join him there too!
They both went to splash each other at the exact same moment, and it looked like they accidentally grabbed each other's hands and were all cutely surprised by it!
I was already lowkey shipping these two but now?? Come onnnnn! They're so cute!!
He invited her to come over to his place and meet his best girl Molly.
Oh what's that you're thinking of Miles!
Before you know it, nature takes its course lol
A very successful little romantic venture! Excited to see where it goes for these two. But that's all for his round this time!

I'm glad Miles is moving on from Anya, she seems more interested in Jack anyway.

Date: 2025-03-23 05:30 pm (UTC)Molly is based on one of my mom's dogs, so I'm quite happy how she turned out! And I'm glad Miles and Anya are probably moving on with other people now - they were one of those teen couples I just don't see going the distance.
