Round Eighteen - Amiri II

Last Round - Jamshid seemed to be really warming a lot to stepmom Gloria. Jalil was working hard on his robotics. Gloria gave birth to their son Diego, who became a cute toddler!
Who's Who in the Zoo?
Jalil Amiri joined the neighbourhood in round 11 with his brother Darius. His keen interest in the stars led him to find himself pregnant with Brightmaple's first alien child, Navid (pollinated by PT Pictor made by Poppet) and later with another alien child, Jamshid (pollinated by PT Mu, also by Poppet). Then Jalil married Gloria, and together they had Diego, a third son. The boys have three cousins who are Darius' children Kenji, Yuki and Karim (and their aunt is Meiko).
(I did my best to avoid making it look like Jalil was in a throuple with the PT's but it was sort of unavoidable, family trees with multiple partners and children are very hard!)
Quiet domestic morning with some necessary supervision while Diego uses the potty.
Jalil puts together breakfast.
Gloria heads out to her store, and poor little Diego is crying on the porch cause he doesn't want her to leave! (and yes I noticed later I'd deleted the brick that was on their house!)
Sister in law Meiko came to visit at The Little Shop of Flowers!

Back home, Clover is helping to cheer Diego up and clean up those tears.

As is his usual, Jalil is hard at work on his robot bench. Ever since him and Gloria got together, there's a lot less financial pressure on the household, which makes it easier to devote more time to robotics and his lifelong goal of building a Servo.
At the end of last round I did some renovations in the house, since they needed more space for a third kid. The room where Jalil's robot bench is was added to the downstairs, where part of the deck used to be - it also houses a florist's bench for Gloria.
I moved Diego into Jamshid's old room and redecorated it.
And another bedroom was added above the new crafting room, for Jamshid to move into! And for me to completely forget to take pictures of... but it was a lot like his toddler room, just with a big kid bed. Navid's room is the same as before too :)
Nathan Perry came over and Jamshid tried to show off, but Nathan wasn't impressed.
Work, work, work. But it's paying off!!
Jamshid tormented Nathan a little, but he just burst into tears.
Guess he can dish it out but he can't take it.

Gloria went to get some groceries, at Park's Market where Navid works! I think the boys would all call Gloria mom, even though technically she's only Diego's mom biologically.
Jalil comes up to check in on the boys and finds them acting out a violent scene of law and order.
The day has come - Jalil is able to begin his Servo! Finally!
Still so handy to have this little bot around!
Gloria makes sure Navid is keeping up with his grades.
Jamshid likes doing his schoolwork and doesn't need to be told.
And lucky Diego still just gets to have fun!
Dad's barely been seen away from his workbench lately!
Off for another day at the floral shop!

But he has to take parenting breaks too.
This does save a little time bringing him up to bed though :)

Today's little guest was Ronin Crosby :)
Chinese food was ordered so mom and dad could have a break from cooking.
This evening was also Navid's birthday! They decided to keep it lowkey tonight. He aged up into a real handsome guy, and I made sure he looked like the rocker he is! His traits are now eccentric, rocker, easily impressed, diva and nurturing. His primary aspiration is already Popularity A (friend of the world) and now his secondary is Family B (huge family).

Gloria gets up the next morning to find that the CleanBot has broken and is running amok, dumping trash all over the house!
Jalil rushes down to try and shut it off!
Gloria wants to get fit, so today she went down to the gym!
Strength and cardio, check!
Still working at it...
Diego wants to talk, and his parents both being Knowledge sims would find him learning his skills to be important, so Gloria whips up some smart milk!
Goal achieved! Got a little chatterbox on their hands now.
Jalil takes a break from robot crafting to join Diego for a little nap.
Good cop, bad cop (he's both) with his toy cow mascot.
COMPLETE!
But much as he'd like to initialise it right away, Jalil has to step away because it's time for a birthday again!
Cake time for Jamshid!
His aspiration is Popularity B (public enemy - he has 0 nice points remember!) and he's into redhead girls who are athletic, and not laid back. He's also extremely active and outgoing hence that stuff.
His traits are currently mean spirited, schmoozer, light sleeper and ambitious.

Meet the Fully Reticulated Intelligently Engineered Neuro Drone - or F.R.I.E.N.D. for short!
I know by default Servos get their creator's personality, but I don't like that, so I randomised new personality points for F.R.I.E.N.D. We'll say Jalil gave his programming an upgrade :)
He's shy, active and playful. His aspirations are Pleasure A (the modest enjoyer) and Fortune A (hard worker). Traits are disciplined, homebody, dog person, excitable, and dreamer.

Let's go through some quick exercises to make sure all your reflexes are working as they should! Can you do this with your arms?
The first thing F.R.I.E.N.D. wants to do once he's out in the world - jump on the couch! Now that's a pleasure aspiration for sure!
Next order of business - he turned on the radio to country music, and started boogying!
I'm already loving this bot, and getting a good sense of his personality right off the bat!
Helpful around the house, but he is doing that multiple bottles thing lol.

Diego joined F.R.I.E.N.D. in dancing! It's country music again, so now my head canon is that F.R.I.E.N.D. is a big country music fan.
Today's task was learning to walk - piece of cake!

Since he has the fortune secondary, and now the music & dance hobby, F.R.I.E.N.D. wanted to be able to do something to earn some money. So he joined Gloria when she went to the gym and started freestyling on the sidewalk out front.
Gloria came out to throw a few simoleons in the jar out of pity... sadly Servos are not at all creative, and she was the only one who stopped to put money in the jar.
Guess he'll have to make money some other way :(
He comes in to join Gloria in the gym for a while instead.
But then he lets his intrusive thoughts win.

Working on some more hobby stuff today around the house.
Uncle Darius and family were invited over - cousin Kenji doesn't even make it in the door before Jamshid starts messing with him!

Everyone is here this time, for Diego's birthday! The celebrations are getting progressively bigger the younger the birthday boy is this round.
Here's our Diego as a kid! His traits are currently good, perceptive and disciplined.
Ozzy was there for the visit too!
F.R.I.E.N.D. persuaded Jamshid to do some mischief.
Jalil is quite serious and pretty nice, so he scolded Jamshid for not being nice to his cousin.
At the end of the evening, Navid called up a taxi and headed out on his own.
Next round he'll be starting up his adult life in his own new apartment! That's it for now!
