Round Eighteen - Retirement Home

Last Round - Floyd got to have some of the kibble of life. Lots of family members were visiting and hanging out with their loved ones. Starla tried to steal her mom's garden gnome, but Joanna stole it back. Grim tried to take Gabriel, but he was able to beg for his life successfully!
Who's Who in the Zoo?
The Blondeau-Diases and Brand - Here we now have a bit of a combined family tree! Paloma and her husband Gabriel were already living here, but after her sister Estelle recently lost her husband unexpectedly and both her daughters grew up and moved out, it seemed like the retirement home was a better fit for her and her cat Plum! Paloma is the oldest child of founder Ines Blondeau and her husband Noah, and Estelle is the middle child. They have a younger brother, Isaac as well, plus numerous nieces and nephews between them. Gabriel joined Brightmaple as a teenage exchange student and lived with the Park family (Kira, Ryan, Simon, Alice and Winnie).
The Harrisons - Angelie is the elder daughter of founders Dahlia and Sawyer Harrison, with one sister, Marina (now Rossi). Angelie married townie Joanna and they had two kids, Starla and Theo. They have a niece, Veronica Rossi, and Marco Rossi is Angelie's brother in law. They now have four grandkids as well!
Floyd immediately jumped Plum once she moved in, but she held her ground quite well.
Floyd got a little telling off for that.
Cooking up a little meal and welcoming Estelle to the retirement home community!
Duchess is an elder now!
Sadly also however, Floyd's days have come to an end! He got a little extra time thanks to that kibble of life, but no pet lives forever sadly. :(
Paloma and Estelle went for a sisters day, first stop was the salon.
Leah really did her dirty!
She tried another stylist to see if it could be salvaged.
Much better! This is a really cute style for her!
Her daughter Marceline happened to be there too!
Next stop was The Plumb Boutique for a new outfit, in her signature colours of course.
Angelie said a sad goodbye to Floyd (it was interrupted while Estelle and Paloma went off lot).

Making a nice pot of stew on a snowy winter day, seems cozy!

But as always, he sucks at his job! Gabriel lives on!

Yes indeed! 0 for 2 so far.
Joanna immediately falls asleep in the chair afterwards lol. She is very old.
It's not a whole snowman but it will have to do.

Gabriel and Paloma went out with their daughter Adela and granddaughter Mickey for brunch the next morning.

These two were still chatting outside so she invited him to come in and hang out with them all.

That's it for their round, and that's it for round eighteen!
I kind of decided after many rounds with Grim's many failures, that I will change up some of my death mods and rules. I had one mod to make it so reaching a LTW (which I don't even pay attention to) gives the ability to cheat death rather than permaplat, and one that makes winning that as an elder give three more days instead of one. But I think between that and making the wishing for the ability to cheat death on genie lamps, too many Sims can do it and go in living unusually long.
So I took out the mod for LTW=ability to cheat death, but kept the three day one. But going forward, they will only get a max of two "wins" against Grim (so 6 extra days) before I "enforce the reaping" so to speak.
After all, sad as it is to see them go, the retirement home has only three units and I do want to make some room for turnover now and then....
