Round Eighteen - Crosby-Brand

Last Round (Brand) - Estelle and the girls were adjusting to life after their dad passed away. Sadly their cat Whiskers also died this round! They got a new cat named Plum because that was just too much loss too quickly. Clementine was being a romance Sim around town with a couple Sims (Cole and Navid this time). Marceline spent her time with boyfriend Paolo, and Estelle worked on her woodworks and spent time with friends and family. The twins aged up to adults at the end of the round.
Last Round (Crosby) - The family got a rabbit named Bun-Bun who everyone loves. A lot of birthdays this round - Luca became a teenager, Ariella became an elder, and Paolo became an adult. Marceline moved in with them, and Paolo proposed to her!
Who's Who in the Zoo?
Please do me a favour and take a few extra moments to admire this family tree because it took me SO long to put together. Most of the family trees now I just work off an older one, replace a few pictures, maybe move a couple faces around or add a new kid, but I had to build this one entirely from scratch because it was an entirely new perspective with the joining of these two households. It took me... far longer than I care to admit lol.
Paolo and Marceline are both descendants of founders - Marceline's mother is Estelle (Blondeau) Brand (her father was a townie, Jarvis) and her grandparents were Ines and Noah Blondeau. Paolo is descended from founders on both sides of his family - his mother Ariella was the daughter of Mateo and Judy Rossi, and his father Connor was the son of Drew and Jane Crosby. There's a loooot of extended family relationships now with the joining of these two which I won't even get in depth into here.
First things first, Marceline and Paolo enjoy a little woohoo - no chimes yet though.
Ariella and Connor are also busy down the hall....
Luca is just making sure he looks good in case he happens to meet anyone special soon!
Although Paolo's science subhobby is biotech, they still have a telescope on the lot, and he wants to get some use out of it this round!
Time to make an adjustment for Marceline - since her primary aspiration is Family B (huge family) she qualifies to get this fertility boost. I've decided to tweak this again a little bit - now, any Sims who are eligible for this benefit will lose it once they have had a set of twins. So it's more of a one time boost, so to speak.
However in Marceline's case, twins also run in her family - she is a twin herself! And so are her cousins, and her first cousins onceremoved (I think that's how that works - her cousin's kids). So I don't know if those odds stack or what, but we are more than likely to get at least one set of twins from her at any rate.

Marceline went wedding dress shopping with her mother in law! At some point it would be fun to get a proper wedding boutique going, might need to look into whether there are any wedding dress mannequins out there.

This time Marceline joined Ariella for a game.
Today was the big day - time for Paolo and Marceline's wedding! All the guests are arriving.
I had to improvise around the snow since the community hall wedding area is usually outdoors, so I put down a quick little wedding mat inside.
I always forget how this mat lets the bride's sister be her maid of honour, it's so cute!

There were a lot of Sims at this wedding! To the point that I actually got my first instance of pink flashing after over two months playing on Linux. It was still much more stable though, usually that meant a crash soon after for me on Windows, but not this time - I was able to finish out the wedding alright! Just had to watch poor Clementine T-posing across the room a lot.

Seems like they're pretty interested in getting a new cat after losing Popcorn, but I'm not gonna rush out just yet. Maybe next round!
Luca needs a bit more focus time this round, so he freshens up, flexes down, and heads to the arcade.
He bumps into his best friend Katy there. It's really too bad they don't have compatible gender preferences because I think their genetics would have combined particularly well!

What I did not share thus far... was that the ROS determined an abduction needed to happen this round! And since Paolo rolled that want first thing, he was the natural candidate.

Then the burglar with the worst timing ever showed up! Luckily the cops was better.
Marceline makes breakfast, while Paolo is feeling a little under the weather.
Ariella and Connor got out of the house for a date day, starting off at the outdoor ice rink.
Saying hello to Ellis who is technically like his stepdad now? Since he is married to his stepmom Tessa.

After working up an appetite they went to the diner for lunch.

Had to expand the house a little bit to add a new bedroom. I want Paolo and Marceline to inherit this house, but there's still some time before Luca is old enough to move out, so the house will just be getting fuller for a while!

This time when Luca heads out to hang at the arcade, he sees his cousin Sloane! They have so many relatives it's hard not to bump into at least one or two on every outing. They aren't actually very close so they got to chatting a bit.

Since they share the cuisine hobby, watching cooking shows together has become a fun bonding activity for Marceline and her father in law.

A lot of big changes in this household! Will be interesting to see if on top of Paolo's star-baby, if Marceline also ends up with twins thanks to either her fertility boost or her own genetic legacy. Lots of names picked out just in case - stay tuned!
