Round Eight - Park

Last Round - A burglar broke in! They closed Green n' Fresh (due to glitchiness) and opened a new grocery store, Park's Market. They got a genie lamp and made some wishes. Simon had his birthday and became an adult. Then he moved out on his own at the end of the round.

First thing in the Park round, Rex demands a game of fetch from Kira!



A mysterious lamp was left on the lawn, so Ryan got to investigating!

I can’t remember everyone’s wishes, but I do know Alice’s because it had to do with her ROS roll…. she became a witch! For an indeterminate amount of time. We’ll see how she likes it!

Alice and Ryan have a nice chat. Kira and Winnie don’t seem to be seeing eye to eye on the other hand.



Outside, Ryan’s tomatoes languish in the summer heat.

Another good day at Park’s Market - happy customers, lineups, good reviews, and ranking up!



Since they already used up the cash rank up rewards on their last grocery, Green n’ Fresh, they’re getting into the wholesale discounts this time.

Sadly early in this round, little Rex passed away :( He’s been with the Park’s since round one- he’s as old as Simon, their adult son who just moved out last round! Everyone was sad to see him go.

Kira plays some guitar (with an attentive audience) and makes some sparkly fish.

Alice works on some of her new witchy skills!



Ryan says hello to their former exchange student Gabriel when he comes into the store.

Their employee Richard helps Isaac Blondeau find some groceries!

Just as the business ranks up, Richard gets fed up with something and quits.

So, Kira hires a townie named Jay pretty much on sight!

Winnie’s boyfriend, Oliver Crosby, comes over to hang out along with some other friend who came home from school. But it’s clear Oliver has some kind of bad attitude going on, because they get into it pretty quickly...


.

.


Pretty quickly Oliver’s disagreement turns into a full blown brawl, and he comes out the winner. Winnie doesn’t look bothered.


.

Kira wanted to try out robot crafting so, that’s her new hobby for now! Ryan is still keeping his plants alive.


.

.


Alice just wanted to enjoy the deck and some nice barbecued food but, this fire had other ideas.


.


Pretty soon everyone is out there panicking, and I’m just waiting for someone to catch on fire and die…. and then our hero fireman comes skipping along.

The fireman gets the fire put out and no one is hurt, and even the food still looks perfectly good to eat! Luck was on their side today.

Alice does a bit of stargazing, and finds something new!

At their store, Kira says hello to a couple of the other founding women of Brightmaple.



Ryan also says hello to another founder and dad of his daughter Winnie’s boyfriend, Drew Crosby.

It’s birthday time once again, this time it’s Alice’s turn!

Friends and family (and dog) are there to cheer her on (and beg for food) while she ages up to adult!

Alice is a grown up now! A little makeover magic and she’s ready to face the world! I didn’t realize until after that her outfit has a lot of similarities with her mom’s…



That also means it’s time for my favourite Brightmaple tradition, the life stages collage! I have a tag for all the ones I’ve done - it’s for every born in game Sim, made once they age to adult. I’ve not decided how to incorporate the elder stage yet but I’m still a ways away from any born in game Sims reaching that milestone so lots of time to sort that out.

A little more birthday party socializing, but then it’s time for Alice to get herself a taxi and get out to start her own life.



She signs a lease for her first apartment and we will get to see more from her in the next round… but for this round, that's all!
