Round Twelve - Crosby-Rossi

Last Round - Ariella called in sick on her birthday, but got fired! So she was a little bummed out after that. But then she had her birthday and became an adult, and changed her aspiration to Pleasure. Her high school boyfriend Connor was there, and they had a woohoo right after she aged up! The two of them went on a date to the outdoor skating rinks downtown. Sweet Herbie cat passed away this round. Then Ariella became pregnant, so Connor moved in too! Sadly at the end of the round Judy passed away :(
Something obviously started a wee bit glitchy in this round, because I definitely don't use any "wear anything during pregnancy mods" - I have default replacements for maternity clothes and pajamas. Yet, here is Ariella getting her second bump in her regular pajamas? Later her maternity pajamas changed to the right default ones, but a different colour than they had been, before finally changing to the proper colour. Her default maternity day clothes also changed to a different colour (red) than they had been before (pink). Curiouser and curiouser!
Connor, in his proper pajamas, played a little razzle with Snoopy in the kitchen that morning!
Sheer joy!
Meanwhile Ariella got into her handheld game.
I had big plans for the Plumbbean Coffee Co. this round! Ariella inherited the cafe from her parents, and Connor has the cuisine hobby. I only like having one business per household, I just only have so many ideas and it's a lot to manage! So often the other members of the household either work at another business in town, or are not employed and help out with their spouse's business.
But for their case, I decided it would be perfect to expand the cafe a little to also feature a bakery for Connor! Some cooler cases were installed...
And a new little nook off the side where there are tables and chairs to enjoy the treats.
Connor got to work in the newly added commercial kitchen, making some treats for sale...
*narrator's voice* Things did not go according to plan...
This was me being very thankful I have a "build and buy mode always accessible" mod because I had forgotten to put in a fire alarm or sprinkler :) :) :) But I was able to add one a little belatedly!
For now, the case will be stocked with buyable/stockable food until we can smooth out the rough edges here!
Back home, Ariella consoles Connor...

Another wardrobe change for Ariella, now she matches Connor and the rest of the house!

And now, more appropriately perhaps, RED! A bathroom baby is on the way, in time honoured Brightmaple tradition!

Meet Paolo Crosby! He has his late grandma Judy's colouring :') Recessives just make me so, so happy.
Daddy's loving it! Also, miss Annabel hasn't made an appearance yet this round but there she is, snoozing on her pillow!
Here's Paolo's nursery! This bedroom upstairs used to be his uncle Marco's room.
Taking care of business!
Mr. Skunk took a shortcut through the house. Possibly annoyed Ariella was in his way too? Jeez, how rude...
Their ROS was to teach a pet a trick, so Connor was working on teaching Annabel how to roll over!
It was hard at first!
But she eventually started catching on.
Snoopy found the tent in Paolo's room!
Looks pretty pleased with himself!
Babysitting the strange new hairless puppy.
Persistence paid off - success! Annabel learned to roll over.
Also, Connor wanted to get engaged so, he popped the question to Ariella! And she said yes!
However she got a red memory from it :( Which is too bad, but maybe it's just nerves in the moment?
Sadly, happy circumstances were quickly followed by sad ones :( Poor Annabel passed away that day!
Snoopy was sad too :(
Careening wildly back to happier developments, it was time for a little wedding. Neither wanted a party, so they got dressed up and married in the dining room with just Snoopy as their witness!
I think Ariella will get over any second thoughts that she might have had - look how cute they are!
Connor invited his big brother Oliver over, and asked him to watch Paolo so him and Ariella could have a much needed date!
They got dressed up and headed out for a night on the town!
Meanwhile Paolo is in the capable hands of uncle Oliver!
They headed to The Roof in Downtown Heights for their night out!
First they sat and chatted in the lounge for a little bit.
Then up to the rooftop patio for dinner.
Ariella wanted to get a little dancing in too.
But she spent a lot of time just making fun of other people's dancing lol...
Back home, the baby was down for the night, so Oliver did a little dancing of his own.
He also cleaned Snoopy's pet bed - what a guy!
Connor was very grateful for the babysitting help!

I certainly hope that footstool is blocking Paolo's view O_O
Ariella went to the cafe to get a day's work in while Connor stayed with the baby!
Looks like our good witch got a second job on the police force?
Back at home, Connor's stepmom Tessa popped by to say hello for a little bit.
Ariella's old bedroom was still the same as it had been when she was a teen, so I did a little updating and converted it into a study!
Tessa joined them for a meal too once Ariella was home from work.
Missing the birthday timing once again this round! All of a sudden Paolo was ready to grow up!
Here he is! I see a lot of resemblance in his features to Connor, despite having grandma Judy's colouring!
This was the last night of their round too, so this is it for them for now!
