Round Seventeen - Rossi

Last Round - Marina had a wandering eye thanks to her serial romancer secondary and an ROS roll, so she went on a date with a townie. They got another cat named Patches (from Winnie and Oliver's kittens), and Veronica aged up to an adult!

Who's Who in the Zoo?

Daughter Veronica Rossi is descended entirely from born in game Sims! Mom Marina (Harrison) was the younger daughter of Dahlia and Sawyer Harrison, and dad Marco is the older son of Mateo and Judy Rossi. Veronica's got a few cousins - Starla and Theo Harrison on her mom's side and Paolo and Luca Crosby on her dad's side.







Nala is seeing stars, and Patches is keeping an eye on things from up high.



I finally remembered to rescue this out of Marco's inventory - his pictures with his mom Judy from when he was a kid!





These pet dishes get gross!



Marina working away as always on her pottery wheel.





The ROS was to teach a pet a trick, so Nala is learning to sit up!





Veronica likes to do all the cooking - she's working on getting her skill up for her future as a restaurateur.



The cats are starring in an action movie!



Reading a cookbook to study up on her skills some more.







Marco is working on this goal!



I got to fix up Marina's studio a little with all of this lovely sculptor CC I recently downloaded!



The opposite is like a display table where she would keep her finished works (although I actually sell anything she makes at the store!)





Marco's good friend Darius showed up unexpectedly!



Joined them for dinner!



Marina can make pitchers now.



Off to Sul Sul Ceramics to restock some of those craftable items!





Bethany is working here, and tries to sell some pottery to Navid!





Marina helps Louise find what she's looking for.



Working on the body skill!



Veronica is working on her charisma, which will also be important when she owns a restaurant. She's a budding chef, but as a fortune Sim she will also want to schmooze those customers at the front of house too.

Chatting about her plans for the restaurant - she's bought the lot and now it just needs to be built.

Marina called to check in on the store today.

Veronica went out on a date with her fiance Zachary downtown, and there was a bit of a mishap with the food the first time they tried to bring it out!



Things got back on track though!



They had a nice time together!

Patches is having a good time this morning!



She got the pop up that she should call in to check on her business more because it's not making any money, but when she did they said this.... ? Which is it?



Veronica's restaurant is finally built! This is La Cantina Marinara! I made a speed build video of it here.





I'd really never used the nooks and niches set before, so it was fun to finally have a place where I felt it really fit so well. It gives the place a lot of character. I wanted it to feel like they were dining inside a wine cellar - the name of the restaurant means the marinara cellar, a nod to the food and the wine!





Poor Veronica was a bit upset because the evil witch showed up with her terrible aura right on grand opening day!





Nevertheless, it's off to work! She had to hire a couple employees off the bat to get things going, but she is acting as chef to save money for the business.





Her cousin Luca is working as her server, since he will work for cheap being that he's just a teen!





Lots of pots on the go!



Sloane and Alma were the last diners of the day.



Veronica congratulates Luca on their successful first day!



Marco invited over his sister Ariella and the rest of her family that day, minus Luca who would have been at work with Veronica at that time.





Marco caught up with his nephew Paolo.





Stuffed peppers for lunch.



The mahjong table is still popular at this house.



Winnie Park dropped in too, and she was doing her cute little shy dance in the living room.



Veronica got home from work then, and showed her how it was done!



Marina is off for another day at Sul Sul Ceramics - those big red jugs are out on display now too!





Another successful day.





Nala's training session today was interrupted by her birthday!



Veronica giving some financial advise, and this time it's actually legal since she's not a teen anymore!



Veronica is discussing wanting to get married - Marina encouraged her to just go ahead and do it if she really wants to, why wait!



So, she calls Zachary over and they do just that...





Right there in the living room, same as her parents!



Of course the next stop is a bed! No chimes for them this fast though.



They call up a taxi and head out into the night after this - Zachary and Veronica will be setting up their own home next round.

Love that restaurant so much! (I know I already said it on Tumblr as well lol. I’m Fee-Bee-Lay over there).
But what I’m really amazed at is how much Veronica looks like both her Grandma Dahlia and her aunt Ariella! The genetics in Sims 2 are *chefs kiss* ;)

I was just looking at their family tree and thinking how crazy it was that the genetics carried so well from Dahlia to Marina to Veronica, but you're right that she does have a resemblance to her aunt as well! I guess because her dad and aunt are also somewhat similar looking! I absolutely love the genetics, huge reason I like playing the generation hood.

Thank you! I wanted to make an Italian restaurant for so long and knew Veronica would be a restaurant owner since she was a kid - and then I realised it would be a fun way to honour her Italian heritage from the Rossi side of her family, so it worked out perfectly!
