Round Eighteen - Duncan-Dawn

Last Round - Elijah spent his time hanging out with neighbour Nora (and her family), his cat Tofu, and working at his business. The matchmaker brought Elijah a cute guy, Tyson, who he hit it off with. He moved in with Elijah at the end of the round!

Who's Who in the Zoo?

Still skipping the family tree for Elijah for now, since it would be pretty barren, he has no relations in Brightmaple! Elijah Duncan joined the town as a teenage exchange student, being hosted by the Webb-Ainsworth family before moving out on his own once he became an adult. He's since gotten together with Tyson who moved in with him.






Tofu is a very important boy!



Elijah heads out to get some new duds today.



He has marriage on the mind!



Work today at Rhythm Section, Cameron Perry is shopping!



Tyson is there too to help out with the workload!



Sabine can see herself becoming a music star!



Nora came in to their apartment while they were out and had some kind of a disagreement with Tofu.



She also enjoyed the video game console!



By the time they got home Sandra was there too - Tyson was happy to be a spectator too!



Elijah made some dinner for everyone.





Hmmm Tyson doesn't seem to be feeling well for some reason?



Heehee!

A nice soothing bubble bath should help.





Elijah is so ready to start a family with Tyson, and he wants to make things official!



Happily for me, I finally got to try out a community hall wedding (at the lot still creatively named Community Hall).



Of course his host sister Leah was there, along with the rest of her family, and Matt.



You know, one of us is gonna have to change.



The guests (and the wedding crashers since this is a community lot) are ready for the ceremony to begin!



Yay! Marrieds! Their last name is Duncan.



Everyone gets inside on the dance floor for some fun now that the ceremonies have concluded.

Oh good! One glitch with the parties on community lots mod is if you ever close the party counter (which I do to get screenshots) it doesn't reopen automatically after a short time. I didn't know if it was even still working as a party or how it was going until this popped up. Both these guys are popularity A (friend of the world) aspiration, so I gave them both the points for this successful party.



Back home, with their wedding photos up on the wall in their bedroom <3

Another dang genie lamp, it's almost too often now! My Sims are so into their hobbies and have fulfilled lives I guess lol.

Elijah wanted to go say hello to Nora, and they became best friends.

Elijah had to resurrect and old friendship for ROS, and the candidate in question happened to be Nora's brother Zachary!



His wife Veronica came too, and embarrassed Zachary a bit by being rude during their conversation.





Abigail showed up while everyone was eating their dinner, in her over-powdered makeup, and hovered next to the table staring at everyone. I think life at the commune is starting to affect her...



Tyson was a BV tourist before he moved in and there's some weird glitchiness with him - for one thing, he always changes into formal wear when he plays this keyboard. Elijah doesn't, so I know it's not a weird piece of CC or anything!

Elijah gets home and they head straight for their favourite exhibition bench.



Guess who's expecting baby number two already.... well, Elijah always did want a big family - that's his secondary aspiration!



At the end of their rotation they moved to a new home where we'll see them next time!

I mentioned glitchiness with Tyson - unfortunately I had to quit without saving a few times when the baby was born. For some bizarre reason even though Tyson has brown hair, his character file had his genetics as red hair. So the baby kept being born with inexplicably red hair, which looked wrong with the parental genes it should have had. I fixed him in SimPE afterwards, so that shouldn't happen again.

I also finally did something I'd been meaning to do for ages, which was slightly tweak the colour of the default green eye (that Tyson and Josie have) to be a little less vivid, since it doesn't really fit with the rest of the set IMO. It's subtle but you may notice a difference next time you see them! And next time, this household finally gets a family tree!

I'm pretty sure the piano formal wear thing happens when the sim has maximum enthusiasm in music 🤔 But if it happens without it then it's weird!
I love the wedding photos, and that they made a goofy one too!
I'm sure baby Josie will be a cutie! ❤

Someone on Tumblr mentioned that and I'll have to check his enthusiasm and see! I loved taking the wedding pictures, well mostly, getting everything lined up is kind of a pain XD but I love the end result!

I'm obsessed with this couple, they're really cute together! If this vacation Tyson is supposed to be Tyson Dawn, then I would assume red hair is his normal hair color since that is what he appears to have on the picture of him on the wiki.
