Round Three - Crosby
May. 6th, 2018 10:34 am
Last Round: Geneva opened an arcade/gaming store. They threw a couple parties and Geneva had a successful date with Daniel Ainsworth. Drew also started dating Jane Curtis. Geneva proposed to Daniel who moved in, and Drew also asked Jane to move in. The store was doing well!

The Crosby spring round commences!
They rolled an ROS for a pet, which turned out to be a dog again, no cats yet in Brightmaple! I’ve decided for at least the time being, no one gets pets in this hood unless they roll for it or get a want for it. I might take this restriction off for the second generation, or once the seasons cycle around again (because my rounds are built around the seasons). I’m sure I’ll get some sort of pet population boom though as gen 2 ages up to child, kids are always wanting pets.
In any case, Geneva is the designated owner, and she adopted Wallace here! I’m loving being able to see coat patterns on puppies (and kittens too I’m sure, once I get one!)
At Geneva’s store, Games World, I gave the exterior a bit of a makeover. Just a change in siding - it was green before and looked too similar to the grocery store, so I changed it to brick, in yellow and black.

.
Inside, business is absolutely booming. As you can see, they’re having trouble keeping up with the demand even with three household members working. They ended up hiring the first business employee in the neighbourhood this round to help out.
.
Drew and Jane have a little dance in the kitchen.
.
.
.
.
Drew pops the question to Jane! She’s happy to accept, and they both get a nice warm fuzzy feeling afterwards. AKA lots of aspiration points.
.
.
.
A little couple’s gaming competition between Geneva and Daniel.
Everyone is still really into Don’t Wake the Llama.
.
Jane finds out about her sports hobby enthusiasm while playing catch in the dark, as one does.
Drew gets elected to be the one to go do the grocery shopping, but has to wait a while for the cash while Ryan works on restocking a display.

Geneva and Drew were ready to tie the knot! They’re both popularity Sims and both rolled wants for wedding parties, so a big wedding party it is! Even though they really just got married under an arch in the front yard… it was still very romantic! The guests who managed to actually watch the ceremony approved too.
I don’t bother with preg morphs for anything as I’m happy with just default replacements of the pregnant outfits, so it was funny seeing pregnant Kira (guest on the far right in the long red dress) waddling around with no visible belly. The pregnant walk is so adorable.
After their marriage, Geneva took Daniel’s last name, so she is now Geneva Ainsworth. In my game married couples always have the same last name, but it can be either of the names, whichever one I prefer for them both.

Geneva and Daniel threw yet another successful party, this time for their wedding. All the guests had a great time and stuffed themselves with cake.

.

.

Jane gets really emotionally invested in sports on TV now.

.

Geneva’s first pop happens! She actually was pregnant before the wedding, but we got the ceremony in before she was showing.

Most of my Sims get rapidly decreasing hunger, bladder and energy when they’re pregnant. For Geneva, everything is fairly stable but then her comfort level will just randomly plummet from green way down to red. As long as she lounges on the couch a lot, she stays pretty happy. I can relate….

.

Business is still going great at Games World. The cash area was expanded slightly to make a little more room on the sales floor; they now stock Myshuno!

.

Drew and Jane get married this round too. They’re preferred to have a quiet living room ceremony, attended by literally no one else, but still in full wedding attire. Of course!
Jane is now Jane Crosby :)
.
.
This was Drew and Jane’s honeymoon. :)
.
.
.
Wallace grew up into a sort of puggle looking adult dog! Geneva works on his skills and general discipline.

.

Daniel’s friend Megan miscalculated and tried to flirt with him, a newly married man! To his eternal credit, he completely rebuffed her advances.

.

Megan felt pretty awkward about it and girl, I can’t blame you.

.

At the end of this round, Drew and Jane moved out to start their own household, and Daniel got his groove on in the living room.
