Round Seven - Crosby

Last Round - Beans got lots of love. Jane became pregnant for the third time. Oliver went to the playground and told ghost stories like his mom. Connor had a birthday and became a child. Drew became an elder! Oliver smustled until he almost dropped. Jane gave birth to a baby girl named Melena, and at the end the family moved into a new house.

The Crosby family moved into their new home this round, and started it off with some celebratory somersaulting in the streets!

The second floor of the Crosby’s house has the master bedroom, the boy’s shared bedroom, and another bathroom. I think the boy’s bedroom decor will transition nicely for when they’re teenagers, which is pretty soon!

The third floor in the house has Melena’s room, a playroom, and the third bathroom!

Drew is hustling hard at the pet shop to gain some more ranks! His cashier really needs to work on his speed though.

Jane supervises while Oliver carries on the tradition of telling ghost stories.

It’s birthday time for Melena, here is her little self and her personality as well!

Put together some Christmas decorations at the Crosby house! Really wanted lights on all three rooflines but it was not to be…. so I stuck a reindeer up top instead! I kind of wish there were more light up roof top ornaments now. And some of those giant inflatable ones that go in the yard….

Mom can never cook fast enough for Melena.

It’s Oliver’s birthday! I kind of missed it so no cake, but he aged up into a fine young man. And as rarely happens, I kept the casual outfit he aged up into.


.


He has the knowledge aspiration, same as his mom Jane.


.

.

.


Oliver came with Jane to do his first day of work at Happy Tails Pet Store! He has some learning to do but he still helped get them up a ranking, so not bad!


.


The thunderstorms were really bad, and when Jane and Oliver got back from their work day, Jane got struck by lightning.

At first I thought no big deal, because plenty of my Sims have been electrocuted, by lightning or otherwise.

.

.


But sadly, this was a little more severe, and the Crosby family lost poor Jane. :(

I was so surprised by this!! All my oldest residents are just barely elders, so I thought I had at least another couple rounds before any deaths occurred. I had just been admiring how lovely she was once again, and was excited to see how she herself aged up to elder, and watch her little family grow! :( :(

Right after Jane’s death, poor Drew spiraled into a complete nervous breakdown and the shrink had to make an emergency visit.

Everyone in the family is taking Jane’s loss pretty hard. Auntie Geneva and Uncle Daniel came over to keep everyone company and help out with the cooking. Drew is working on a logic puzzle for some aspiration points to try to get him out of the red. :(

The Crosby’s are getting used to their new normal, and Melena still needs lots of love and attention from her daddy! Peek-a-boo is always fun for both. :)


.


Oliver is old enough to help his dad out around the house now, with things like giving his baby sister a bath.

Poor Connor wasn’t too successful in his first baking attempt!

.


Drew tried fixing the TV in the breakroom at the pet shop, and this happened… he almost gave me a heart attack, thinking now the Crosby kids might be orphans! But he survived. After also scaring the bejeesus out of his employees.


.

.


Jane Crosby was laid to rest in the new cemetery in Brightmaple, a little earlier than we would have liked. :(
