Round Nine - Menzies

At the end of round nine, I’ve decided to add a new family in to the rotation in Brightmaple! This is Finn & Trevor, they’re a married couple - here’s some more info about them!
Finn - Family - Leo - 4 / 10 / 4 / 4 / 3 - Likes blonde hair and lycanthropy, dislikes cologne.
Traits - irresistible, inappropriate, heavy sleeper, lucky, excitable
Trevor - Pleasure - Libra - 2 / 8 / 2 / 6 / 7 - Likes blonde hair and creativity, dislikes charisma.
Traits - brave, clumsy. good sense of humour, mooch, inappropriate




Finn and Trevor’s house! I admit a contributing factor to adding them to the neighbourhood was this house idea I’d had knocking around in my head for a while. They were one of the rare new families who gets a bit of a loan for their home rather than just for their business, but I had to make the idea come together! Although only about 60% of their house is actually decorated right now lol… there’s a couple rooms that are totally bare for now.
This is the exterior and the lower floor, or the furnished parts anyways - their bedroom and a bathroom. Colour scheme her is obviously citrus!








The upstairs of Finn & Trevor’s house. The big floor to ceiling windows in the second floor living room was kind of the nucleus of the idea for this house, and that suited a slightly mid-mod style decor as well, without being too on the nose. Had to at least throw the Eames lounger in anyways.
They have a great big patio, but no funds to furnish it as of yet - at some point though that place is crying out for a hot tub.















Finn’s first move in the new house is to not so subtly disapprove of my choice in table lamps.





Their dog Layla also violently attacks… the pavement in the middle of the road?





The boys settle in to their first meal at the new house, and then a bit of leisure activity.











Simon Park came by to welcome them to the neighbourhood. Trevor launched into a really animated story about… something… and Simon listened so politely.







Simon hung around with them for a while, but it got late and Finn (wandering around in his undies because inappropriate trait) passed out on the couch, and Simon realized it was time to see himself out.







These two are certified adorable.



Layla snoozes while Finn and Trevor test the sturdiness of the bench under the TV.





They all went out to Town Centre Park to meet some people, but also to try and dig for some treasures around there. Layla got to enjoy some fetch!









Finn dug all day at the park, but all he found was a rock and a bunch of bones!



Finn and Trevor took a little break from trying to find valuables to actually relax and meet some of their neighbours.



But then it was back to it - Trevor tried moonlighting as a barista, but it mostly ended up with him looking bored and the barista confused.



Then he tried a little digging himself and finally found a semi valuable item, I think just a sculpture worth a few hundred simoleons.



They decided to head home at this point, leaving a stray dog to enjoy the dirt piles they left behind!



Back home, they get up to some hijinx - and I hear some chimes!





Trevor’s needs immediately plummeted, so he went to bed while Finn cooked up a meal.







It was time to get a business going for Finn & Trevor, the yard digging wasn’t helping much. So they took out a loan, and opened Brightmaple’s first toy store! This is The Toy Box.













The business did well on the first day and got quite a few customers, including the good witch! And a little townie girl named Charley who was fascinated by the pretty glowing lady!



And already they ranked up to level 1, and got a little money they can put towards their loan, and a new nursery for baby on the way!





Poor Trevor is having a really rough go with this pregnancy. I’ve never had a Sim do quite this badly - his energy is almost entirely drained within a couple hours of getting up in the morning!







He’s spending most of his day sleeping while Finn cooks, then he gets up long enough to eat and maybe use the washroom before it’s back to bed! But sometimes he can’t even stay awake through his meals. Poor boy!







Trevor continues to pass out in unusual places while he battles through his pregnancy, including standing up in the middle of the living room. It’s not nice to laugh Finn!



I finally got him off and tucked in to bed.





We’ve got our first pop!





They play a little red hands while Trevor’s able to be on his feet for a little while, since nothing gets the fun meter up faster!





Finn went to work a bit more at the Toy Box - Ines was there, probably buying something for her new granddaughter Adela!



Trevor is back to bed for yet another pregnancy nap.








He does manage to get up for a little while later on and play with Layla a bit!
I tried SO hard to make Layla look like a black shiba inu, I think I kinda succeeded? It made me realize I actually have way more cats than dogs in Brightmaple and I’m not quite as familiar with making dogs! But I’m pretty happy how she turned out. :)





They watched a bit of TV, in their underwear. They both have the inappropriate trait, so they like to spend a lot of time lounging around in their undies, in front of their floor to ceiling windows no less. LOL

Finn discovered he really likes music & dance!





And he said a little hello to baby peanut as well.



The last night of their round, Trevor woke up late and started going into labour!



He safely delivered a little baby boy who was named Ewan.



Finn is a heavy sleeper, so he snoozed while the whole thing happened a couple feet away from him lol.

Next round we'll get to see how little Ewan looks!
