Round Eleven - Silva

Last Round- Mia became a teenager! And has chemistry with her best friend Carla, so she invited her on a date. The whole family is helping out at the restaurant now that Mia's older.



Carla left a really generous gift for Mia after their last date - her parents are going to wonder how she paid for it since she has no job! She must be trying to impress Mia's parents, since both Beatriz and Michael have knowledge aspiration.



For spring time I decided it was time to spruce up their patio a bit!





I realized now that I probably should have added some garden beds around the edges of the deck, but I can't remember if I ran out of money, or interest in the project lol. That will be for the summer round I think!



Marmalade you know that's creepy right?



And right then, she ages up! Maybe she was hoping someone would pay attention to her on her birthday. I wish there was a mod (is there?) that gave you a 24 hour heads up of a pet's birthday coming up like they do for Sims... it would be kind of fun to be able to have a little pet birthday party sometimes lol.

Now it came time to roll the ROS for the round and oh boy... it was a big one! EXCHANGE STUDENT!





Once again, it was with the perfect household because Beatriz herself was an exchange student, with the Harrison family. If you recall, the other recent exchange student in Brightmaple was Brett Woods (from deedee_sims  Griffinmere) and his host family is Angelie and Joanna Harrison. Angelie's own family was the host of Beatriz back when she was an exchange student! So it really works out so perfectly.



Let's formally introduce the newest resident of Brightmaple, Gloria Flores!

Gloria gets settled in, it's pretty cool that Mia gets a sort of step-sister since she is an only child.



Pretty quickly she find the computer, and the games!

I think they'll be friends!



Time to do some work at The Snack Shack! Spring and summer are the best seasons for this outdoor restaurant!



Lots of potential customers checking out the menu.

After school the girls brought home Theo Harrison and Brett Woods. They showed off their dance moves!





Everyone hanging out watching TV and listening to music.



That night, it's time for Michael's birthday!



Here's our Michael as an elder!



Marmalade doesn't seem to like Brett very much! This isn't the first time he's been chased by a cat, the Georgison's cat Sprout has terrorized him too. I get the sense he might become a dog person... (even though his household has a cat he doesn't seem to have any issues with, better safe than sorry?)





Beatriz tells her off for being mean to their guests!





Yet another burglary in Brightmaple! There's a real crime spree happening around here. Also not the first time their house has been targeted.



Luckily the police are quick, and deal with the criminal!



Enjoying a sit out on their patio - still a bit of a chilly spring, so in coats and with a fire in the firepit!



Gloria discovered her hobby!

Starla Harrison came home after school this day, she's as pleasant as ever! I'm starting to think about assigning witchiness to some Sims if it suits them, based on personality - ie: very mean ones might become an evil witch, very nice ones a good witch. Just if it suits them, rather than as a random ROS roll....just a possibility! That said, Brightmaple has so many mean Sims it would be hard to pick lol.



While trying to make herself a toaster pastry for breakfast before school, Mia set the kitchen on fire!





The fire department is just as quick as the police in this town!



After the fire was dealt with, the firefighter stopped to give Marmalade a little affection. She really is irresistible!



Beatriz and Michael went out to grab some groceries, then decided to stay out on the town for a little bit.



Next stop was the public library downtown! What better place for two knowledge Sims to spend their time?



Enjoying a couple of novels side by side.





It was a rainy day when they left the library.



This reminds me so much of my city (well, the city closest to me, still about 40 mins from me, but it's a big city and it rains a lot lol). Still absolutely loving my downtown.



When she got home from school, Mia recovered her burnt (and now also rotten) toaster pastry from the oven.



Mia hadn't seen her girlfriend Carla yet this round, so she invited her over. :)





Gloria went out to pick herself up a handheld game (and a cell phone too, I think?)





Another day of work at the restaurant!





Get the burgers!



Or pancakes?





Yay, money!



Since one of their employees wouldn't come in for her past few shifts (I know you're underpaid but I can't give you a raise if you aren't here!) they hired Rhys here to be host! Now Michael can work on bussing tables and helping out wherever needed while Rhys hosts!



Beatriz was here too, just busy cooking in the kitchen!



The girls were having a dance party at home!





That's it for their round, on the edge of summer. Next time we'll see what else they get up to! They will be called the Silva-Flores family going forwards too. :)

I really like that ROS event. And it's cute that Beatriz now gives an exchange student a home after she made the same experience as a teenager.
Mia and Carla a cute together. I hope they'll stay together :)

Thank you! I love that ROS too, it's such a fun and big event in their lives! I definitely want Carla and Mia to stay together too, I think they're pretty close to the same age (meaning they'll age up to adult close to the same time) so I think their chances are good!
