Round Seventeen - Lewis

Last Round - They adopted a new dog, named Cookie! Zachary got into a relationship with a townie named Naseem which started to become serious, and Nora became an adult. 

Who's Who in the Zoo?

Emily is the third child of founders Joshua and Roxanne Lewis. Her older siblings are Whitney and Xander. She got together with Jay Gill on her very first day as an adult and they started having kids rather quickly, but they didn't actually get married until both their kids were a bit older! They all have the Lewis name so I could ensure it kept going in the neighbourhood. Zachary and Nora's cousins are the Perry kids (Sabrina, Jamie and Cameron) and Jasmine Dionne.





Seems Cookie here ate something she couldn't have, because ROS said unexpected $5000 vet bill!



Zachary finally got his hair back!





Promised you wouldn't have to wait long - the new owner of the Cyber Cafe that Cameron recently opened and then sold is Nora! So it's technically staying in the family. She's also moving out to her own place so we won't really be playing with her now, her own turn will be up next though.



She's just checking out her new apartment, and we'll see her pretty soon.



Back at the homestead, Zachary comforts Cookie after whatever medical procedure she had.





Zachary invited Naseem over.







Jay and Emily were working on hobby stuff.





Been feeling a little unsure about these two - despite being a Family Sim, the wants he rolls about Naseem are fairly lukewarm. I'm not sure if his heart is in it?

Despite my misgivings, when Naseem called up Zachary about a date downtown, he got a coffee into him to perk up and off he went!



They met for dinner at Nigiri House.





They were seated upstairs, and Veronica Rossi was there on the karaoke.



Zachary stopped to say hello - you may remember they briefly dated when they were teens - very briefly, as in one date, before Zachary aged up. 



Even though they are on a date (and she's a Family Sim too!) Naseem is also rolling very unromantic wants towards Zachary?



Zachary is also rolling this want though, which is very interesting. I know it's just because they have history (he's rolling the same want for Starla who was on the lot somewhere, even though they're totally wrong for each other, because they dated for a while as teens). But this is an idea I had not considered before... (also he's afraid of karaoke cause he's pretty shy awww...)





He says goodnight to Naseem after their date, but sticks around to have a drink with Veronica at the bar.



You already knew that was coming...





They had a great time catching up and reconnecting.



Meanwhile it's a wild night back home for these two!





The next day they go into work at Lewis Appliance & Repair, and Veronica just happens to stop by.



Jay is working on the repair side today.



Emily is on sales!



Veronica buys a LOT of stuff.





Good day at the business!





Both are having some troubles surrounding smoke today.





Chatting with his parents about his relationships. He's got a lot on his mind these days and appreciates the advice...



Trying to make friends!



No luck :(



It's ok, her family are her friends!



Autumnal yard work.





After a lot of thought and chatting with his parents, Zachary decided to make a call...



He picked up Veronica and took her out for a date!



Promising start!



He immediately drops to one knee.... in a serenade!



However he does have other ways of getting on one knee on his mind already... my goodness...





And she seems to be on the same page. So this is developing... quickly!







They had a really lovely night out, and Zachary has a lot to think about now.



Back home, Jay is not working on the car for once!



Zachary decides he has to call Naseem and break it off.



It's a hard thing to do, but they split up amicably.

Since they weren't engaged or steady or anything, I just decided to cheat to change some of their relationship flags. I think I removed love and lowered the score or something. Once they've been split up a little longer I'll remove crush. I kind of prefer this method to the just never-ending lingering crush when relationships peter out on their own... no one holds a torch that long for every romantic prospect! So in future this is what I think I'll do when it makes sense. (sometimes the ex drama is too funny though, like Tessa and Reggie)

Emily lets Zachary borrow the car to take Veronica on a date.



They're downtown again, this time at the diner.







Too adorable!



A little dancing at the jukebox.



They autonomously went outside to this very public bench.....





But Crumplebottom was on the case, and poor Veronica was mortified she let herself get carried away like that! Must have been the heat of the moment!



You young rapscallions had better mind your manners, you hear?



More raking, it never ends!



Chores in general!

Both Veronica's parents called, wanting to get to know this boy their daughter is dating a bit better.





So, they met up for a movie downtown!





He met her parents, who both seemed to like him. Who wouldn't like Zachary? He is a nice young man!



Even if they did sneak into the photobooth for a little woohoo (chimeless) when no one was looking...



Veronica's aunt Ariella was there too.



Dev Blondeau was visiting Emily and Jay back at the house that night.





The burglar showed up, but he went to the shed out back first, so no alarm was tripped. Zachary jumped out of bed and hurriedly called the police.





Luckily this time they got their man - the success rate is on the upswing for Brightmaple PD lately.



Since he was now wide awake, Zachary made some food, and set the stove on fire.



Second emergency vehicle on site in a matter of hours.





Cookie added to the general sense of chaos by digging a hole in the front yard.



Zachary went to work at the shop on his own today! Emily and Jay have officially transferred ownership of the business to him now, so they are retired!





Cousin Jasmine was there!



He picked up groceries on the way home.





More hobby pursuits, as always!



And other activities too. :)



Zachary invited over Veronica and her family that night, so they could all meet his parents. His aspiration is Family B (huge family) so I know stuff like this would be important to him.



Emily cooked up dinner for everyone.

By fluke all of the Rossi and Lewis family members sat in groups together lol.



With family surrounding them, Zachary decides that now is the time to do what's been on his heart.





She said yes!





Emily and Marina are excited to become family!





Cookie is also very excited to have a new friend! :D

I'm pretty jazzed about how this developed, it was so unexpected and organic. I honestly forgot about their one little teenage date, and at the time I wrote it off because I knew he was going to age up a round or two before she did - him being a family Sim, I just assumed he'd probably be married and having kids already by then. But it never did feel quite right with Naseem, whereas this all just fell into place. It was meant to be!

I haven't fully decided what I'm going to do with merging their households - since they got engaged at the end of the Lewis round, I still have to play Veronica through her five days later this round to keep them in sync. After that I don't know if I want him to move in with her, or vice versa, or to their own place? I will have to think on it!

I think they'll have to have a big wedding though!

I think so too, and I was so surprised! I love when that happens!
Crumplebottom really clocked them at the Japanese restaurant, had her eye on them ever since! 😂
