Welcome to the world of playables Eric! As we saw last time, he unexpectedly became the father of Sabine's twins after a fling in the photo booth. Not that he knows that, because he declined her invitation on the day she was going to inform him. So we can't be too hard on the guy for neglecting his progeny, since he has no idea they exist.
Eric got a significant makeover, as I'm wont to do when a townie becomes a playable. After examining his personality, I see him as less of a "public enemy" type popularity B Sim and more of a bit of a grump. After all he does have four nice points so it's not TOO dire.
He had the nature hobby, so I leaned into that direction, making him a kind of outdoorsy fisherman type who likes to be self sufficient.
Had to share a funny behind the scenes moment from his introductory photoshoot - being scandalised when the Sim who owns my tester/photoshoot lot decided to hop in the bath.
But let's get into Eric's round! First thing he does is prove he really is a nature hobby guy.
Ahhhhhh, the great outdoors!
I used a lovely little house I downloaded by Lillidew, and made a few alterations. Not a ton to the outside though, structurally speaking.
Lots of green and woodtones inside for our outdoorsy dude.
A little mess on the floor since he isn't the tidiest.
I altered the floorplan a little to make it less open, and make the bedroom bigger. Since the garage wasn't functional anyways (no extension piece) and if I ever get him a car I can put in on the driveway, I cut into that floorspace to make more space for the inside.
I wanted the kitchen to say "this guy probably cans his own food".
The status of his relationship with Sabine at the moment... he doesn't have any wants concerning her, so for now he's just gonna live his life!
First thing up, it's off to the park, with a wave to a neighbour walking by!
While the winter weather is still mild, he's getting some fishing in at the local pond.
Mickey and her dad Ronald were there, it's so cute always seeing them out around town on their dad-daughter days!
Not what he was hoping for.
Mickey tried her hand at angling too!
No idea what Eric said that made Ewan boo loudly, inches from his face... that's a very Ewan thing to do though.
Might have been a bad joke... poor Eric!
Grabbing a bite to eat before he moves on for the day.
Next stop, Eric goes to the pet store to get himself a four-legged companion! This is Lenny!
Back at home, Adela calls and invites him to hang out, but he's had a long day out and wants to help Lenny settle in, so he declines this time.
Lenny is settling in... to the garden beds!
Dinner time!
He likes his new bed!
I swear being enemies is the least likely reason for a Sim to kick over garbage can in my hood... they mainly just do it because they're not very nice and they think it's funny! Unless somehow Eric did something that pissed Rory off in a one-sided way, perhaps.
Lenny tried to rush out and guard the house but he was a little late.
The next morning though, Rory came back, and this time Lenny was on the case!
Good boy!
Off to the pond again today, Eric wanted to meet someone new!
Lenny came along too!
Success!
Ronald was there again, Lenny got him to throw a stick.
He napped while the humans played chess.
Bills to be paid.
Lenny!! No no no! We just spent hours at the park....
Eric called back Adela to hang out after she called the other day - she brought a friend along.
It was Jamie Perry!
They had a chill time hanging out together.
Eric bought a business! However so far, all I can show you is the exterior, because he ran out of money. Before giving him any more of a loan, I wanted to try to see what he could dig up...
Welcome home dad!
The mail carrier likes Lenny too!
And yes, I meant literally dig up! This should help fund his business a little.
Knife skills still need work.

Yay! He needs that money!
A quiet, snowy evening.
As you might be able to tell from this picture, what we're aiming for here is a "thrift store" (at least in vibes, in practice basically just a retail store!). There is literally nothing else in the shop except a counter and a cash register so this is all there is to see for now!
But we're chipping away at it!
Back home, relaxing with the dog and the paper.
Back at the pond today - Lenny found a much better spot to pee than the living room.
How many boots are there in this pond?
Townies are falling for each other!

This one is destined for the display - what serious fisherman doesn't have evidence of his prowess mounted up on the wall!
That's it for Eric this round - hopefully next time he'll be able to progress his business more, and get it filled in a bit better. And we'll see what happens on the personal life front as well!
