Round Fifteen - Park II

Last Round - Alice took off for a tropical vacation in Coconut Cove! She met some new friends and had a great time. When she got back, she threw herself a birthday party because it was time to age up to elder - her and Rhys, her townie date from last round, snuck off to woohoo during the party. She got a third cat thanks to ROS, named Circe!
Who's Who in the Zoo?
Alice is the middle child of founders Kira and Ryan Park. Despite a few casual relationships and flirtations with male and female Sims around town (she is bi), Alice never met anyone she liked well enough to settle down with. She prefers to focus on her three cats, her rat, her witchy studies and her many friendships (being a popularity Sim!). She also likes being the cool aunt to her brother Simon's kids Hannah and Miles, and she's been particularly close to Miles most of his life.

Up and at 'em, the work of maintaining these cats in the lifestyle to which they're accustomed never ends!
Hecate supervises to make sure everything is done to her satisfaction.
Circe is not happy to have to wait for her turn at the dish.
Sorry honey, this apartment is too small for a third dish so you just have to wait your turn.
Hermes finds this all a little undignified.
Alice heads out to the cafe to get herself a little breakfast this morning.
There's no law that says pie can't be breakfast!
She chats with Simone at the next table for a bit too.
It's a witch convention here apparently!
This inspires Alice to practice her arcane arts, and she spots the perfect beneficiary, her good friend Paloma!
She gives her a little mood boost to carry her through her day.
Back home and it's time for more cat snuggles!
And a little studying of her grimoire to keep her skills sharp.
Coffee and a bath, a quiet time around the house.
The cats are also settling in for a quiet night!
Her niece Hannah came by to visit!
But then so did the landlord, demanding the rent - Alice totally forgot to pay! But he was happy when she paid up without a fuss. He doesn't know how easily he could have been turned into a toad if she wanted to...
They went out to the pool together and had a bite to eat.
And enjoyed a relaxing soak in the hot tub.
However, when they arrived at the lot and I checked Alice's wants I saw this.... !!!
And sure enough when she returned home, it seems that Hermes passed away while Alice was leaving the lot! It drives me crazy that the game gives you absolutely no indication when a pet is dying!
So this was a little unexpected, I knew he was old but I didn't think he was quite that old! And although normally I don't allow resurrections in my game... I decided if I was ever going to allow anyone to do it, it would be a witch!
So she called in some favours and summoned this very special phone that only dials one number.
And he's BACK!
Alice is very happy to have her best boy back.
I've decided in future that will be the only scenario where I might allow resurrections - only for pets, and only by witches.
She went out to the pet store to pick up some things for the cats.
And also say hello to this cute bunny!
She wanted to flirt, so she tried her luck with Chester but he wasn't into it.
She bumped into her employee Sylvia, and she responded much more favorably to a little flirtation!
Time to head home.
A quiet night in and a little witchy work too!
Beatriz (who doesn't live in this building and who Alice barely knows) barged in and used her toilet, with the door open. Real nice...
But Alice the popularity Sim never misses a chance to make a new acquaintance!
Time to put in some work at Grandma's Attic Antiques!
Hannah came to buy some things!
Cat love time, again! They demand snuggles!
Remy needs his sustenance too.
Being able to teleport is really handy when your annoying neighbours have left the common area stereo on all night for the millionth time.
Another day at work, and the customers are swarming!

It's a grey and rainy day out there.
But warm and cozy inside with lots of great buys!
That evening she heads out with a group of friends to the pub downtown.
Crumplebottom is there, with her drink as always!
Her and Malcolm grabbed a bite to eat.
Crumplebottom's shift has ended, time for the grand vampire to take over!
First the rent, now the bills!
The cats are all settling in for the night (or not settling as the case may be) and that's it for Alice's round!

Also, I love how you play your elders. I need to deal with my internalized 'ageism' - elder sims CAN be fun to play!

Date: 2023-08-22 05:34 am (UTC)Thank you, I do try to make playing the elders fun! It can be harder when they don't have any "new" milestones to hit. But Alice has always marched to the beat of her own drum too so she's maybe easier - I found it fun how she preferred to stay single and child free her whole life.
I did just build a retirement home lot to mash together any elder households that I am finding less interesting to play one by one though, so sometimes you do have to be a little creative XD
