Round Fifteen - Blondeau-Dias II

Last Round - (at home with her parents) Miso passed away near the start of the round :( Adela invited Cameron Perry over for a date while her parents were at work, and he had his first kiss with her. As a birthday present, Adela got Harry the dog! He took over Miso's old job of starting fights with their other cat Duchess. Adela aged up to adult, and moved out at the end of the round with Harry (leaving Duchess finally in peace).
Who's Who in the Zoo?
At this point we have the same family tree as our last round! Adela is a gen 3 Sim, her parents are Gabriel Dias (who came to Brightmaple as a teen exchange student with the Park family) and Paloma Blondeau, eldest child of founder Ines Blondeau and her husband Noah. Adela's parents have never married so she got a hyphenated last name. She's an only child but she has two aunts and uncles (Estelle and Isaac, plus their spouses) and five cousins (Chandler, Anya, Sabine, Clementine and Marceline).
Adela moved in to her new townhouse downtown with Harry! Here's a few pictures of it, you can see more and the building process on my Youtube as well.
Adela is a Romance A (serial romancer) so I went for a very girlie, Valentine's themed vibe in her place. Pink and red everywhere!

He showed off his dance moves for her.
He was not at all interested in discussing her latest x-ray results though.
And then he booed her while she cooked them lunch? This "date" is all over the place... (they weren't actually on a date, this is more of a trial run)
But they did manage to find some common ground when they stopped talking :) But Brett called while he was over and invited her on a group outing downtown, so she said goodbye and jumped at the chance to hit the town!

And would you look at that, two bolts with him too. He is seeing Louise but they're both romance A secondaries...
They grabbed a bite to eat together - nothing really turned romantic for them tonight, but they are already friends so who knows in the future?
Time to get a drink!

There was a definite oil and water vibe between these two though!
Very much did not get along.
No new conquests this night, so time to head home!
She was out very late, and slept in late the next morning too.
But it's up and out of bed and to business! She gets on the phone and purchases a community lot, it's getting to be time for her to start her own business venture.
But first, clean up Harry's mess...
She wanted to ask Ronald (that's his name btw) on a date, so she called him up and he came by. And ACR kicked in and they hopped on the couch!
In the middle of this, she rolls a want to fall in love with Brett?? He's a family man Adela...
Oh but then guess what else happened? Adela did risky woohoo with Ronald - and there were chimes.
The very first time she has a woohoo.... this serial romancer who does not want to be tied down, gets pregnant.
Adela...
She also made sure to make it clear that despite this, she does NOT want to settle down with Ronald.
So, yeah... I had some big plans for Adela's future and she definitely threw me a curve ball here! I really can't believe of all the Sims to actually get pregnant from risky woohoo it was her, the very first time. I have unmarried TFB turned off exactly for avoiding this (I turn it on for individual couples if they are committed and move in together but don't want to get actually married) and she still beat the odds.
I'm a little disappointed about the change in plans for her future (which I will elaborate on more shortly) but also interested to see where this massive fork in the road takes her! For now since she will likely stay single, she'll be going on birth control after this baby is born since a single romance Sim can only have one child on their own by my gameplay rules.
I guess she realized she has to be a lot more careful than she thought, so after this she's taking no more chances!
Well... for now it's time to give Harry a bath!
She gave her best friend Sabrina call to chat, and catch her up on the latest in her life...
I hope those are non-alcoholic cocktails Adela!
It begins...
She went out to the diner and her uncle Isaac was there too!
She called up Sabrina and asked her to come down and meet her, and while she was waiting for her her cousin Sabine also showed up on the lot.
They got a seat at the counter and caught up a bit!
This lot was also turning out to be a family reunion for Adela - her dad Gabriel was there too.
Her uncle Dev (Isaac's husband)...
And her cousin Anya!
No big surprise Adela, pregnancy will do that to you!
A small wardrobe change since her top didn't have morphs.
The tub was broken so she called the landlord. I thought she'd leave a message and he'd come in the morning but he turned up promptly at 11 pm!
She called up Ronald to tell him that she was expecting, and that he could be as involved (or uninvolved) as he wanted to be. All the same to her!

Finally busted Harry in action peeing on the floor.
The bump grows!
She's got the bassinet ready and set up in her room.
I knew the baby would be coming soon, so she invited over her mom to be there.
She also invited Sabrina, to complete a bit of the plans I originally had for her...
Since both Adela and Sabrina are romance A Sims and best friends since childhood, my plan had been for the two of them to be roommates all along! They were going to be two young women on the prowl, man-eaters about town! Hitting up the local bars and hangout spots to find new conquests.
Since Adela got pregnant some aspects of this might change! But I'm still going to follow through with my plan to have them live together anyways.
Sabrina doesn't spend too long getting settled in and watching TV, when she hears a cry from the other room.
Adela is going into labour!
Her mom is also nowhere to be found lol (she was off in some corner of the lot hanging out with a neighbour).
But Sabrina is there for moral support while Adela has her baby - it's a girl!
Welcome to our very first generation 4 Sim in Brightmaple! Mickey Blondeau-Dias! She has her father's blue eyes and black hair like both of her parents.
Adela definitely doesn't seem interested in pursuing a relationship with Ronald, but it remains to be seen how much involvement he has in his daughter's life.
Really looking forward to seeing what these girls lives look like going forward, there were some wildly unexpected twists and turns in this round!

There are some in the Crosby-Gates household I don't see, but starting there everything works fine for the following updates. It seems to start with the round eight Rossi update. I hope the problem is on my side, but I just wanted to let you know so you can check!

Date: 2023-09-04 04:02 am (UTC)That is odd, everything from round 8 onwards is hosted on the same site and they're all displaying fine for me! Maybe check your VPN settings if you use one, sometimes that goofs with stuff like that for me. Or a cookies/cache thing on your end possibly?
