Round Fifteen - Amiri

Last Round - Jalil and Navid moved into a new house in Brightmaple! Jalil decided to focus his energies on robotics in hopes of one day being able to create a Servo. Navid had his birthday and became a child. He rolled a want to have a new family member which was so sweet! Jalil asked out his friend Gloria and they had a date, and woohooed (I'm now rolling for chances of pregnancy when the only Sim who can get pregnant in the scenario is a non-playable, but there was nothing). So then, Jalil got abducted again while using the telescope and will be bringing a new member of the family in that way!
Who's Who in the Zoo?
Jalil Amiri joined the neighbourhood in round 11 with his brother Darius. His keen interest in the stars led him to find himself pregnant with Brightmaple's first alien child, Navid (pollinated by PT Pictor made by Poppet). Jalil also has a second alien child on the way, having been abducted again last round. Navid has three cousins (and Jalil three nieces and nephews) who are Darius' children Kenji, Yuki and Karim.
Navid comes to give his dad a cute hug in the morning at the start of their round.
Jalil writes in his diary about the strange abduction experiences he had the other night...

Hard at work as much as possible on his robot table, Jalil hopes to one day build a Servo.
It's extra adorable when alien kids play with the spaceship toy. Navid is quite good at keeping himself entertained in his room while dad is busy working on his robotics. But I know he's looking forward to a sibling.

Navid is a little bored with dad working on the robots half the time, and napping the other half of the time thanks to his pregnancy.
So once he woke up, Jalil took him out for an afternoon at Larry F. Llama's Fun Palace!

Navid is worried whether this place has rats - don't worry, that's Chuck E. Cheese, this is Larry F. Llama's!
Back at home Jalil makes a meal for them.
Navid is talking about the baby sibling coming soon!
Then it's back to the work table, and this time the bot is good! I'd love for them to keep one, but for now this is their only source of income so Jalil has had to sell all of the bots he makes.

Poor Jalil is having a rough pregnancy.
Navid climbed into bed with his dad autonomously and I thought it was just too cute, so I let them stay like that for the night.
Jalil has all romance wants today, so we might as well do something about that...
He calls up Gloria for another date.

Gloria is still there when Jalil goes into labour!
She's very excited to have been able to witness the birth of another baby boy, Jamshid!
His pollinator is PT Mu, also by Poppet!
He's also got Jalil's eyes, as well as Jalil's black hair! It's a little bit too bad neither got the alien eyes but at least they'll carry the recessives for it.
Max Ballard came home with Navid after school.

Jalil invited Gloria for another date, and they were rolling some very interesting wants! Hers seem a little less specific than his do, but it's still there right? Something to think about....
Today's visitor from off the school bus is Cole Menzies!

Ooooh boy that is some personality you've got there kid. Can anyone say evil galactic overlord?
I think it goes without saying that he'll be a Popularity B (public enemy) when he grows up.
His personality stands in sharp contrast to his brother's 10 nice points, and also 10 outgoing points; Navid will be a Popularity A (friend of the world). So despite their fairly different personalities and eventual aspirations, hopefully Navid still gets the sibling relationship he was hoping for. Or maybe we get a kind of Angela & Lilith sibling personality clash thing happening, who knows.

Gloria is back (or still there? I can't remember at this point!) and Jalil decides to finally pop the question!
She said yes! I honestly wasn't 100% sure she would, since she was rolling wants to marry every guy she's been seeing. I guess she really wanted to get married to someone at least! And I really feel like Jalil is the right someone - they do have things in common, both being Knowledge A primaries. However her secondary is Romance A (serial romancer) so there's a chance she's not quite done her affair with Callum nor her dalliance with townie Nolan, but we'll see how that unfolds.
Gloria moving in brought a much needed influx of cash, they were kind of struggling before. I was able to renovate the house a bit and add a second bedroom. This is Navid's new room, decorated very similarly to his last.

And of course Gloria's dog Clover is now part of the household, so she got a new room too!
Gloria is settling in to her new role as step mom nicely!
One thing I love about generational play is watching the young Sims interact and wondering how the relationships will unfold as they get older - will they be best friends? Drift apart and be acquaintances? Fall in love one day? It's fun to look back later once you know their stories and see where the seeds were planted.

I'm excited to see what's next for this family. Gloria joining the household was a bit of a surprise even for me! Her and Jallil have been friends for a long time but their romance was more of a slow burn, and with her romance secondary I didn't know if she'd even consider committing to anyone. I also am sort of breaking my own rules about limiting family sizes for this non-traditional household. I already was technically since Jalil was single when he had both the boys, although his maximum number of kids as a Knowledge Sim is one. And even with Gloria factored in for them as a couple, her aspiration is the same so the total between them should be max 2. But I think I'll leave the birth control off in case they decide to have one kid of their own, just in case :)
Also meant to mention that after this I decided to make my own multi-PT mod, so these two will be the only progeny of Poppet's multi PT mod, any more alien babies after this will come from my own "stock". Although unlikely they will be Jalil's at this point.

Jamshid looks cute too! I think he resembles Mu more, but without the ears 🤔
Also, yay for the engagement! Gloria sure just wanted to tie the knot with someone 😂 (just no Callum, please 😂)
Also, I'm glad you'd let them have a kid of their own! I'd love to see their genetics mix! ❤

Date: 2023-12-14 12:46 am (UTC)I do hope they have a kid, they got together really close to the end of the round so no marriage yet, but you know how some Sims like to be forever engaged. I have unmarried TFB turned off by default but I'll turn it on for them next round since they're committed, and see what happens ;)
