Round Sixteen - Menzies

Last Round - Their house continued to be the messiest one on the block. Claire had another date with Nora Lewis. Ewan had his birthday and became an adult, and soon afterwards Claire did too. Ewan had an ROS to fulfill his fears and they all centered around making enemies, so he tried to make enemies with his dad Finn, but it was only reducing the relationship on Finn's side, so I gave up on it. Ewan and Claire moved out together at the end of the round.

Who's Who in the Zoo?

Trevor and Finn Menzies joined Brightmaple as new playables in round nine. They've had four kids together - Ewan, Claire, and the twins Katy and Cole. Last Round Ewan and Claire both became adults, and moved out to a new place together.







Morning is here, and Katy and Cole are having an early morning round of cops and robbers!



The yard is still a disaster!



Trevor and Finn are enjoying their morning :) I changed Trevor's secondary aspiration this round, from serial romancer (romance A) to hopeless romantic (romance B). I think it suited him more!



Wolfgang hopes he can have some of that breakfast too!

The kids get up to all sorts of fun activities when they're home from school that day.





But now, the time has come for their birthday!



Both get a cake to blow out the candles.



Cole first! His primary aspiration is Romance A (serial romancer) and he likes girls with black hair, no job and not much cooking skills to speak of! (Bella Goth??) He has a somewhat similar personality to Theo Harrison - once Cole is an adult they'll have the same primary/secondary aspirations but reversed, and both very grouchy. Maybe this one will be another drama starter once his time comes...



Katy is a Family B Sim (huge family - kind of like the one she grew up in!) and she likes girls with brown hair who are athletic but don't like pets. I'm not sure if that turn-off fits her but I'm gonna double check her interests - if it's high for animals I'll change it to something else, but if it's low I'll maybe let her keep it and that's just her weird quirk I guess. She's super duper nice though (9 points) so I'm inclined to change it more than anything, so it actually fits and is supported by other parts of her personality.





Here they are as teens!



Katy moved into Claire's old room, and it got redecorated to reflect her nature hobby! Katy is really into bugs specifically :) She's really NOT into keeping her room clean. It runs in the family!









Cole's into gaming (and also leaving his stuff laying around) so his room reflects those interests. He's in Ewan's old room!







Katy actually did a liiiittle bit of cleaning up around the yard! A small dent but it's something...

ROS sent them out for a picnic this round! They made sandwiches and went over to the park, where I just added picnic benches (why didn't I do that sooner!)

Some morning homework, and trying out the new piano they put in the spare bedroom that used to be the twins room when they were younger. It's the new hobby room, somewhere better to keep Finn's instruments and Trevor's easel. 



Messy eaters in this house, unsurprisingly.



It's time to get some work done at The Toy Box!

A couple of townie teens join them after school, and video games are the popular choice for entertainment.



However it isn't long before the siren song of the bugs calls to Katy.





Finn told off townie Adrian for kicking over their bin - that's rude!





Getting some proper enjoyment out of this big patio tonight!



Back to work today - the local kids are frequent customers, but of course!





You look like a discerning consumer, young man!





She released them after, don't worry! (unlike all the other bugs she catches which just end up in a box I guess 🙃)



Katy and Cole went out to the Stardust Roller Rink to meet some other teens around town.



Plus, cell phones!





A little banter and mutual grouchiness with Jasmine Dionne (they both have just that one nice point).





He does seem to want to get closer to cute little Fern here!





Katy's really feeling the groove in her soul.



Cole and Clementine get to chatting a bit.





I was really surprised and disappointed there was NO chemistry between Katy and Sally? Hoowwwww??? They're both attracted to girls? Katy likes brunettes? A family and a fortune Sim? The only thing I can think of is Sally likes pet lovers and Katy doesn't like pet lovers.... so that's another huge point in the negative column for keeping that one around... cause on paper these two are absolutely perfect for each other.



Meanwhile, Cole is being a perfect gentleman!





These two being a little silly goofy.





Money is pretty tight and the store needs to make some more of it!



Great customer service is always their approach!







Cole called up Fern to chat a bit - now he wants to ask her out!





These two have very different ideas of fun XD



Cole called up Fern and asked her out on that date!





They met at Noble Izakaya downtown.





The wants are a little tepid for a date to be honest....



And then once again his gentlemanly instincts take over.... siiiigh....



But somehow, the date ended like this, they kissed goodnight and got crushes? LOL get better standards Fern!

Aw, the twins are so cute! But another sim who's like Theo... 😅
I love that you made their bedrooms messy to match their personality!
Maybe Katy and Sally will grow bolts later? It happens sometimes.

Yeah I've definitely seen the bolt count change, which makes sense I guess since some turn ons/offs aren't based on static characteristics!
But I did decide to change that one turn off for Katy - I looked and her interest in animals is 10 XD So why a family Sim who's super interested in animals, nature, and is really nice wouldn't like pet lovers is beyond me! I made her turn off bad reputation since she's so nice.
Also very interested to see if Cole can manage to make his love life as messy as Theo has hahaha
