Round Seventeen - Menzies

Last Round - Trevor's secondary aspiration changed to romance B (hopeless romantic). Katy and Cole became teenagers, Katy spent a lot of time chasing bugs and being chased by bugs, and Cole was too mean to effectively romance anyone. They all went on a family picnic together.

Who's Who in the Zoo?

Trevor and Finn Menzies joined Brightmaple as new playables in round nine. They've had four kids together - Ewan, Claire, and the twins Katy and Cole. When Ewan and Claire both became adults, they moved out to a new place together. Ewan had an accidental child with Louise Crosby, his son Ronin Crosby - making Trevor and Finn grandpas!







ROS has made Finn a vampire this round! Although he doesn't seem like he cares for the idea...



Checking in on the yard and yes, still a mess!



I sent Trevor off to work on his own since Finn has to stay indoors during the day, and it was at this point that my gameplay got a little derailed, when I discovered what I thought was a glitch, but was apparently unclear consequences of a mod I'd downloaded! It took me a bit to correct it all, before I got back on track!



Back on her bug finding game!



This room was set up as a kind of all purpose hobby and activity room.



But homework completion is still being enforced.

At that age where there's always some random friend from school joining them at the dinner table.





The bubble blower continues to be popular for all ages here.

Now that he's nocturnal, Finn practices guitar late into the night.



Might as well open a night shift up at the Toy Box! Money is always a little tight for them, so being a vampire is a good opportunity for the guys to trade off shifts at the store and potentially make more money.





Luckily Sims will come out and shop 24/7, so Finn can harass Sally into buying something!



She did not appreciate the aggressive sales tactics.





More enthusiastic approaches did better!





Katy woke up in the middle of the night for some reason, so she played on her computer for a while.





She was awake to greet her dad as he came home from work just before dawn.





Trevor still tries to find time for his painting.



But now it's time for another shift at the store for him!





These two are working harder than ever in their elder years! Although they will have to retire sooner or later, I'm leaning towards Katy inheriting the store since she is a Family B aspiration.





Finn having a mental breakdown thanks to the messy state of the house - well that's what happens when you never clean it up!



There's a start!





More bug hunting - entomology is Katy's subhobby for nature. I also got some cute deco CC for her room that goes with that theme, along with her regular bug box up on the wall.

Katy and Cole went downtown to get some fast food at McLlama's.







A rock paper scissors tournament broke out in the parking lot.





Katy was talking to Navid about what else, bugs!





They went to the cineplex afterwards, and got some pictures taken.



Theo was there on the karaoke.





Theo also hopped into the photobooth with Hiroko, but not for pictures.... unfortunately for her she got the brunt of Ms.Crumplebottom's wrath while Theo walked away without a care in the world.







Back at home, Finn's new commitment to trying to keep the house a bit cleaner continues.







Talking about how old they're getting. But Finn says not me, my aging is paused now since I'm a vampire!



Hmmm Finn I don't think that letter is for you.



Yup, definitely not!



Tucked it where it belongs.





Finn took a trip over to the cemetery to hang out with some other denizens of the undead.



Drew Crosby seems to be trying out a bandana and ponytail n the afterlife. Not sure if the look is working for you Drew...



Kind of forgot this lot is ordinarily set to teens only, so Finn got to have his "hello fellow youths" moment here.





Sawyer Harrison popped out to say hello too! And wearing his sunglasses at night apparently.

Finn decided to wander outside which he had actually been quite good about not doing this round. Tried to rush him along by turning into a bat.



Yeah, you can't do that right now!





Katy and Cole headed to the roller rink today.







Meeting other teens in the hood!



Bumped into Navid again!





Savannah has romance on her mind, but Cole has other priorities (despite being romance A aspiration).







Cole tried to chat with Savannah after bullying her a little, but she wasn't too interested in the topics. I guess he had that coming!





Then he tried to tickle Max out of nowhere (Cole's got 10 playful points) and it didn't go over well!



Any treats for Wolfgang?





More guitar practice, then into bed for the day!





Coffee and a nice fire to beat the chill in the air for Trevor.





Finn does another night shift at the toy store.





Hard work paying off for them!

After breakfast the fridge is looking empty, so Trevor heads out to pick up some groceries.





Then off to work again!

Cole has a decent amount of chemistry with Savannah, and their relationship isn't bad even after he noogied her. So he calls her up to chat, since he's always looking for romantic prospects.





Katy actually wants to get a cleaning skill, despite having one neatness point! This was her face though after I told her to go clean the bathroom to earn that point. If you thought you were getting that skill point by reading a book, think again girly pop.



Cole wanted to flirt with Savannah now, so he invited her over.

Immediately after she has her first kiss with Cole, Savannah gets another noogie. Real nice...

However, Finn has had enough of this whole vampire thing, and as the watcher I wanted one day where Finn could go to work with his husband, so the potion was procured!



Back to normal!





The next morning both boys go into work together, and their older daughter Claire comes in.





Pushy sales tactics!



But looks like it worked!



She's seeing the vision!







She finally got that cleaning point, through practice!



Time to reward herself with a little bug huntin'.



Cole and Savannah were busy making out nearby.

I love when they tell the alien story.


Chatting online with somebody.



Poor Finn is just trying to enjoy a meal in peace... 



That's a wrap for their round! I think the twins will be aging up next time so we'll see what comes next for the Menzies then!
