Round Seventeen - Retirement Home

Last Round - Michael spent quality time with his daughter and granddaughter, and cheated death again. Angelie contributed a CleanBot to the retirement home. Paloma and Gabriel moved in to the third unit at the retirement home. Sadly Michael passed away at the end of the round.
Who's Who in the Zoo?
Since Michael passed away last time, we're now down to two households in the retirement home for this round!
The Blondeau-Diases, Gabriel and Paloma. Paloma is the oldest child of founder Ines Blondeau and her husband Noah. She has two younger siblings, Estelle and Isaac, and five nieces and nephews (Chandler, Anya, Sabine, Marceline and Clementine). Gabriel joined Brightmaple as a teenage exchange student and lived with the Park family (Kira, Ryan, Simon, Alice and Winnie). Paloma and Gabriel got together pretty well as soon as she aged up to adult, and although they've never married they had one daughter together, Adela Blondeau-Dias. Adela produced their granddaughter (and first gen 4 Sim), Mickey!
The Harrisons - Angelie is the elder daughter of founders Dahlia and Sawyer Harrison, with one sister, Marina (now Rossi). Angelie married townie Joanna and they had two kids, Starla and Theo. They have a niece, Veronica Rossi, and Marco Rossi is Angelie's brother in law. They have a son in law, Starla's partner Travis - he has a baby named Celeste with PT Zoe, and Starla is currently expecting their first baby together.
The ROS for the round was that a pet gets the kibble of life! I haven't gotten this one yet, but I decided if there are multiple pets I will give it to the older one. Floyd is older than Paloma and Gabriel's cat Duchess, so Floyd was the lucky kitty this time!
A new lease on life!
The mahjong table is always popular - everyone troops over first thing still in their pajamas.
Beatriz and Michael's chinchilla Herman is now living with Paloma and Gabriel - he's getting a little long in the tooth I think!

The outdoor bar doesn't get much use, but once in a while someone remembers it's there!

Floyd found a nice spot on the counter at Paloma and Gabriel's.
The CleanBot is hard at work!
Paloma was able to pass on some items that were left in Beatriz and Michael's unit after they passed to their daughter Mia, most importantly their photobooth pictures!

Gabriel invited over their daughter Adela and granddaughter Mickey.
Whatever grandpa wanted to talk about, Mickey wasn't having it - she wants to talk about makeup, and clothes! I recall a phone conversation with her dad which went very similarly, so I think Mickey is probably a bit of a girlie-girl!
Adela and Paloma got caught up too.
Paloma is the fun grandma!
And what would a visit to grandma's be without some fun in the pool!

Hello Duchess!
Angelie and Joanna were enjoying a quiet day at home.
A little pool in the clubhouse.
Paloma and Gabriel came back and joined them for drinks.
Adela surprised them by dropping by too!
But then there was another uninvited guest that was much less welcome :(
Seems that Gabriel was able to plead for his life too, which is a common theme around here!
And he pulled it off! Grim must really hate coming to the retirement home because he so often leaves empty handed.
Continuing the theme of randoms stopping by, Simon Park was suddenly there!
The cats were still freaking out from Grim's visit.
I think he earned that!

Starla stopped by to see her moms, and of course Floyd!
They're looking forward to the coming baby!

Gabriel and Joanna went on a hike together and got into a patch of poison ivy.
A little mahjong game in the evening, Adela was around again!
The first snowfall just as fall is transitioning into winter, and that's gonna be it for their round, and for round seventeen! After the summary post is done we'll be getting into round eighteen!
